2011—May 2015 Miami University, Oxford, Ohio – Bachelors of Arts and Science in Education (Art Education) (GPA 3.4/4.0) 2017—Current Savannah College of Art and Design – Digital publishing (GPA 4.0/4.0) Licensure: K-12 Visual Arts WORK EXPERIENCE Art Teacher, Madison Jr. Sr. High School (08/15-Current) Visual Arts Teacher 7-12 -Teaching 5 classes a day, enhancing students artistic ability with a wide range of materials -Provide outside of school hours Art Club as well as do additional work with Yearbook Teaching artist for Artworks, Cincinnati (05/15-08/15) Assistant to the Project Manager -Full-scale mural for the Hamilton County Justice Center in Downtown Cincinnati Ohio. -Instructed group of 12-15 apprentices age 14-18 -Managed time, safety, equipment, and all other aspects needed for the project Substitute Teacher (01/15-04/15) Working as needed through the Union County College Corner Joint School District in Liberty, Indiana. -As needed in all areas and subjects -Helping in the art classrooms of grades k-12 as needed by the teachers of the district Student Teacher (08/14-12/14) Split placement between Eaton City School District, Eaton, Ohio, under the supervision of Amber Michael (first half of fall semester) and Union County College Corner Joint School District of Liberty Indiana under supervision of Paige Persinger (Indiana second half). -Taught 6 art classes covering all areas of upper level art including Yearbook - Worked with the homecoming committee as well as junior class officers -Created 40+ Art lessons for various age groups and skill levels Art Director and Counselor- (06/14-08/14) Camp Walden, Cheboygan, Michigan Directed arts and crafts instruction and doubled as a counselor at a summer camp for children ages 6-15 in northern Michigan. -Taught a variety of art skills to 600+ U.S. and International students/campers -Established a permanent herb garden that serves the local community -Provided personal care and guidance to 20+ kids 24 hours a day in cabin Saturday Art Teacher- (12/13-05/14) Oxford, Ohio -Led a class of 15+ 3rd-5th graders every Saturday for 6 weeks at the Miami University Art Building. -Created and instructed 6 self-developed lessons as well as an end-of-semester exhibition focusing around a central theme. -Organized and held banquet/ Art show for 60 students and their family. OTHER RELEVANT EXPERIENCE 02/14-05/14 Kinetics Festival Coordinator and Inventor, Oxford, Ohio for the Sculpture Program. -Helped produce an art and kinetic festival for over 2,000 members of the Oxford community. -Created a working bicycle from scrap parts and presented it at the festival, as well as winning an award for most efficient machine in launching. 05/13-06/13 Miami University Study Abroad Experience, housed in Paris, France -Spent 8 weeks traveling throughout Paris and other European locations studying art for the Miami Culture requirement. -Toured birthplaces of famous artists and conducted in-depth research on various art forms. 09/11-12/14 Student Observation Experience, Oxford, Ohio Community Schools -Observed teachers in my field for a total of 50 hours over the 4 years. -Gained hands-on experience in an art classroom and school setting.
